MALLIKA SHAH

Mallika is an actor, director, and writer based out of Mumbai. She believes theatre to be a versatile, adventurous, and holistic vehicle of thought through which to discover worlds in detail. Her interests lie in the mundane, in rebellion, pop and youth culture, love, and just about everything else.

In her eight years of study and work in the theatre and out, she has trained at the Drama School Mumbai, worked in communications at Antarang Foundation, a youth employability organisation, and has explored different facets of theatre-making with Bhasha Centre, KathaSiyah, Patchworks Ensemble, and Stone Paper Stories. She has acted in Shoojit Sircar’s Sardar Udham and Prime Video’s Made in Heaven.

She wrote and directed her first play, I Killed my Mother / It Wasn’t my Fault, a coming-of-age story that explores the frivolity of urban girlhood.
